A spiritual home
since 2009.
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON
Under the Malankara Archdiocese of the Syrian Orthodox Church in North America and Canada, St. George Syrian Orthodox Church was founded on December 27, 2009. The first Holy Mass was celebrated by Archbishop His Eminence Titus Mor Yeldho.
Our community first gathered at the University of Washington. As the parish grew, we established our own church in Seattle, which His Eminence Titus Mor Yeldho consecrated on September 27, 2015.
Our vision
By God’s grace, we seek to respond without discrimination to people who are suffering and in need, helping them improve their lives and communities with dignity, respect, and hope.
We turn the hearts of youth and families toward God and one another, developing our God-given potential and building a foundation of faith through Sunday School, St. Paul’s Men’s League, St. Mary’s Women’s League, and the Youth and Young Adults Association.
